Brain Imaging Genetics Summer School

Registration is now open for this year´s summer school on Brain imaging genetics organized by the Cognomics Initiative!

Organized as part of the Radboud Summer School Program our summer school takes place from Monday the 11th of August to Friday the 15th. The summer school is targeted at national and international graduate students and junior postdocs (limited to 40) with a background in either neuroimaging or genetics, who want to learn how to perform imaging genetics studies. It will be an intensive course, covering several topics on brain imaging as well as diverse genetic analyses. The course will start with two parallel tracks that provide a brief introduction to both imaging and genetics, depending on your background. The program will consist of lectures by expert, internationally recognized speakers, followed by hands‐on practicals and demonstrations using real life data. We will cover genetics ranging from single variant and gene-wide analyses to genome-wide strategies and combine those with different approaches to MRI-based neuroimaging (structural, diffusion tensor imaging and resting-state fMRI).

Other important topics include the integration across levels of investigation and linking genetics to behaviour via the brain - the essence of Cognomics research. We will conclude with an outlook to multivariate genome-wide brain-wide analysis and advanced neuroimaging approaches.
